COOKIE POLICY

1
What are cookies?

A cookie is a small text file that is stored on your computer or mobile device when you visit a particular website. With cookies, a website remembers your actions and preferences (such as sign-in, language, font size, and other display-related preferences) over time, so you do not have to re-enter them each time you return to the site or browse its various pages.
For personal data covered by this policy, the Data Controller is Meddox digital d.o.o. whose headquarter is in the Republic of Croatia.
You can contact the Data Protection Officer via complaint@meddox.com or by writing to the address of the headquarters - Ulica grada Vukovara 269F, Zagreb, with the indication „Data Protection Officer“.

2
How do we use cookies?

Meddox application and web site Meddox.com uses cookies and similar technologies for several purposes, depending on the context or product, including:

  • temporary user session-id cookies and/or persistent cookies limited to a few hours in some cases - we use them to store your preferences and settings on your device and to improve your experience. For example, saving your personal preferences in cookies allows you to not have to constantly set your preferences anew

  • authentication cookies, which are used for authentication services, during the use of the site - we use them to verify your credentials. This cookie allows you to move from page to page without having to log in again on each page. You can also save your login information, so you do not have to log in every time you return to the site;

  • user security cookies, which are used to detect misuse of authentication, with limited duration - we use them to process security information that allows us to identify fraud and misuse;

  • multimedia cookies, such as flash player cookies, for the duration of the page visit;

  • content loading cookies, during the visit to the page - we use them to remember the information you give us,

  • unclassified cookies - those that are currently in the process of classification by the service provider of individual cookies

In addition to the above, we also use third-party cookies for social network plug-ins for logged-in social network members - some of our websites include social media cookies (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube), including those that allow users who are logged in to a social network to share content over that network. They allow you to log in and register through social network accounts and to share the content of the website to said social networks (e.g., via the "Like" button).

You can find out how to manage third-party cookies on their websites:

Meta Platforms and Google receive your personal information when you visit those websites and applications, including device information and information about your activity without any additional action on your part. This happens regardless of whether you have a user account and whether you are logged into it or not.

Meddox, as a Data Controller, cannot influence the processing of personal data carried out by third parties.

Meddox does not use cookies for purposes other than those described in our Privacy Policy and these Policy.
